The launch of the much anticipated Nokia 5800 (Nokia Tube) has been expected to be on 2nd October, there are a large number of photographs which show hardware and software of the long awaited Nokia’s first S60 powered touch phone appeared on digi.tech.qq.com. There has been a significant changes on the hardware side of the phone; the back case bear resemblance to most of the Nokia Nseries phones and significantly reminding one of Nokia N82, but unfortunately it lacks the feature of xenon flash and the dual led solution like the Nokia N96, powered with a new kind of battery BL-5J along with a stylus.
One noticable thing about the browsing the web on phone is, if there are web pages with small links placed closely to each other it is extremely difficult to control by finger on a high resolution (3″) screen. Actually the page is optimized for tiny mouse pointer and not for thumb therefore the stylus is a good addition to it. Keeping the web in mind is just one point though there are plenty of features for it, in short the stylus is more precise and once and position the the pointer to a space of just few pixels which is not possible using your thumb. Though the zoom feature can be used to enlarge the page so that it can easily be hit by your finger. Though your fingers can be used to control the interface but it becomes in sufficient for a powerful Smartphone based on S60 platform to be used without the stylus.
The software counter part has evolved well but if still far for the final version which is currently the issue with the prototypes. The QWERTY onscreen keyboard for the landscape mode and the classic numeric keypad in the portrait mode.
The “Tube” as its commonly known will be launched under XpressMusic sub-brand, due to be announced at a London event for Introduction of Nokia Comes with Music Service, but will be launched globally at the same time.
As quoted by Nokia back in July “Our first touch device will be aimed specifically at the ‘mid-range’ or ‘volume’ part of the market.”
Let hope that it becomes affordable to common masses and have a good phone to be seen in common in the coming days after the launch.

That’s a pretty cool phone, I actually think this looks way better than the android.
Tapping your letters is just not the way to go. So slow, inaccurate, and annoying at time
