It appears that Palm has another model tied up and it’s a head turner. It is still saddled with Windows Mobile, we got a Treo recently. We had already seen the spy shots of Treo 850 in May and now Gizmodo (via WM Expert) has a fresh set with a new name , the Treo Pro , a long rumored news.
It has the same basic Centro design, a bit slimmer and a cool “ X” shaped design on the front of the phone. The circular Call and End buttons are also new, and as Gizmodo notes, the Pro’s keypad looks a bit spacious than the Centro and the newly released Treo 800w.
Unfortunately the Pro appears to be running the tricky Windows Mobile OS. Indeed we are still waiting for Palm to release a phone with Linux –based OS, code named Nova.
PC World confirms specifically a 2.4 inch ,3320 by 320-pixel display ( the same resolution as on the 800w), along with Wi-Fi, a two-megapixel camera, a 400MHz processor with 100 MB of RAM, micro SD memory expansion , and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Though 800w comes with GPS capabilities there is no mention of GPS.
Officially Palm has no announced the release date and price but accidentally Flash presentation on Pro went live on Palm’s Web site recently so it is expected eearly.
