Posted in Handhelds

The long rumored BlackBerry 9000 is coming to hit the markets soon. As called the Bold, the latest BlackBerry - complete with 3.5G HSDPA support boasts a sleek new design and razor sharp display, but is not on sale at the moment. The bloggers at Crave got their hands on the the Bold and they were overwhelmed by its new half-VGA display 480×320 pixels, snazzy new icons and menus, as well as a revanped interface. Other new style features include a redesigned keypad, a curvier shell and replaceable backplates in different shades.
As predicted, the Bold will mark the first BlackBerry with high speed, 3.5G HSDPA abilities geared for US networks. AT&T has confirmed the arrival of the Bold later this year in its lineup of smartphones. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with support for stereo Bluetooth headsets, GPS, 1GB of internal memory plus a slot of microSD memory expansion, a 2MP camera and a standard 3.5mm headset jack also included features of the Bold. As for the processor the Bold comes with a 624MHz processor compared to the 312MHz chip in the previous generation of BlackBerry so expect a speedier performance.
So, what do you think—looking forward to the Bold? Or sticking with the Curve?
