Getting your child a cellphone? How about setting up some rules before you get the cellphone on their hands. Most parents probably talk to their children about not to stick constantly on the mobile phones or using them in class, but studies indicated by the Washington Post indicate that instead of that they should particularly speack about the dangers while talking on phone and crossing the streets.A study at Alabama at Birmingham says unintentional pedestrian injury is one of the major cause of death in middle childhood. After finding out thatr nearly one third of childred owned a cellphone between tha age of 10-12.
Though there is a major argument by the parent;s that their children have been provided mobile phones for security reasons, but isint it wise to consider the risks involved using a cellphone while crossing the street.
Although the message is clear about cellphones here, the reality is kids today have plenty of other gizmos to distract them like iPods and gaming devices. I guess the best thing is to do is keep reminding kids that all those distractions can wait until they’re safe at home.
