Not coming as a shock here, as we believed the sixth-generation “true recording iPod” would not be declared until later this year. Underneath the old and still-scratch-prone polycarbonate and metal skin of the updated iPod (a.k.a. the 5.5 generation, or 5.5G) lies a more grown iPod, some steps wiser and more healthy than its one-year-old predecessor.

The iPod gains some incremental improvements, including a brighter screen and sustainable battery life, but like the most attractive characteristic is the price of $249 for the 30GB edition and $349 for the huge 80GB edition (available in both white and black). While it maynot fulfill the needs of a newborn accumulation of iTunes flick watchers, the updated iPod is the prize winning one today. Most of this analyse of the 5.5G iPod module counterbalance new features and performance.
