RAM Overclock With XMP RAM

Some time in the past nVidia released SLI Memory and Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP). They were based on the fact that by coupling the right memory on the right chipset and motherboard you could overclock the RAM you have without knowing how to do this. Now we have something similar launched by Intel with the release of the X38 chipset. It will be called Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP).
Justl like EMP, XMP will include extra info on memory modules thanks to regular SPD data. Now the user will not have a need to understand a lot of extra technological stuff in order to perform this small but felt overclock. All he/she will need is a X38 motherboard and special XMP RAM. There is still no official guarantee it will work though so we need to keep a handle on this.
