“A great machine at a great price! Has all the goodies most folks need. Am a repeat Toshiba customer for many years and have never been disappointed with the quality and performance.”

“Very great deal. The only limitation is the 512mb of ram. you will definatally upgrade that. i bought another 512 stick and it runs great(20$). I dont understand why toshiba would sell it with only 512 ram with vista though. Overall good deal and runs great with the ram upgrade.”

“I bought this laptop from BestBuy for $529. And I think it worth it. Have read many other reviews which i think are totally not true. If you want to use Vista then you will definitely need to upgrade memory. I added 1GB to original 512MB and let me say that I have run Windows Server 2008 Beta 3 on this system and the system performs well. Other than that I have used Vista Business and recently upgraded Vista Home Basic to Vista Home Premium, couldn’t find a problem. I read someone saying that graphics card is the biggest limitation, which is not correct cause I am enjoying all the features that comes standard with Windows Aero.”

“I bought this computer to be able to check email and surf the net anywhere in my house. It fits that bill perfectly. Startup is painfully slow and logoff also. Otherwise, it suits my needs. However, I have nothing else loaded but a virus scan, so I will need to upgrade soon.”

“Since i have my laptop i dont have any troubles. I love the engine and i can do everything. Although, windows vista is new for all, is just a matter of get used to it and know what programs fits to it. And the price was great. I’m very happy with my Satellite!”

“We can’t get a Vista rating over 2.8 for this laptop, and even replaced the memory with 2GB total RAM. The video card is definitely the bottleneck (based on Vista’s performance information), and even with the most updated drivers and settings tuned for performance, it limits everything on the system. The overall features are good, and the laptop is worth the price… just don’t expect to run anything intensive… which means Vista itself is at times painfully slow so it’s probably worth spending a few extra dollars for a better grade laptop-”

“My experience so far with this products is satisfying. I was aware before hand of the minimum specs required by vista home basic, consequently i knew what to expect from the laptop as far as performance. The only times when i feel the drag is at start up and log off. The features are good for the value. The one thing that i am disappointed with is the life of the battery (around 2 hrs).”
